TL3101

The TL3101 is a kind of bipolar phase control IC. The typical applications are motor control, brightness control, temperature control, cos optimization for squirrel-cage motors, and starting current limitation.

There are some features of TL3101 as follows: (1)direct supply from ac line possible; (2)low power consumption, typically 2.4 mA; (3)only one capacitor for triggle pulse width and phase angle; (4)highly stabilized reference voltage; (5)negative triac gate trigger current, 100 mA max; (6)no triac drive pulses during supply undervoltage; (7)optional voltage or current synchronization.
