TDA1566

The TDA1566 is designed as one kind of car audio power amplifier that has two Bridge Tied Load (BTL) output stages and comes in a HSOP24 or DBS27P package. And this device can be configured in a single BTL mode and drive a 1 load. For the single BTL mode it is necessary to connect on the Printed-Circuit Board (PCB) the outputs of both BTL channels in parallel.

Features of the TDA1566 are:(1)Operates in I2C-bus mode and non-I2C-bus mode; (2)TH version: four I2C-bus addresses controlled by two pins; J version: two I2C-bus addresses controlled by one pin; (3)Two 4 W or 2 W capable BTL channels or one 1 W capable BTL channel; (4)Low offset; (5)Pop free off/standby/mute/operating mode transitions; (6)Speaker fault detection; (7)Selectable gain (26 dB and 16 dB); (8)Independent short-circuit protection per channel; (9)Loss of ground and open VP safe; (10)All outputs short-circuit proof to VP, GND and across the load; (11)All pins short-circuit proof to ground; (12)Temperature controlled gain reduction at high junction temperatures.
