TDA1005A

The TDA1005A is designed as one kind of high quality PLL stereo decoder that is based on the frequency-division multiplex principle performing:(1)excellent ACI (adjacent channel interference) and SCA rejection;(2)very low BFC (beat-frequency components) distortion in the higher frequency region.

Features of the TDA1005A are:(1)with simplified peripheral circuitry the circuit can perform as a time-division multiplex decoder, for use in economic medium and low-class apparatus;(2)for car radio: operation at a supply voltage of 8 V;(3)extra pin for smooth mono / stereo take-over without clicks;(4)automatic mono / stereo switching (minimum switching level is 16 mV), controlled by both pilot signal and field strength level;(5)low distortion in the loop resonance frequency region;(6)external adjustment for obtaining optimum channel separation in the complete receiver.

The absolute maximum ratings of the TDA1005A can be summarized as:(1)supply voltage: 18 V;(2)indicator lamp voltage: 22 V;(3)mono / stereo switching voltage: 4 V;(4)indicator lamp current: 100 mA;(5)indicator lamp turn-on current (peak value): 200 mA;(6)total power dissipation: see fig.2;(7)storage temperature: -55 to +150 ;(8)operating ambient temperature: -25 to +150 .
