The TCA940 is designed as a monolithic integrated circuit for class B audio amplification with up to 10W output power. TCA940 provides all the advantages of integrated AF amplifiers: constant idling current and voltage, high efficiency, low distortion; furthermore, an internal circuit protects it against overheating, supply overvoltage and load short-circuit.
Some absolute maximum ratings of TCA940 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be 24V. (2)Its peak output current (non repetitive) would be 3.5A. (3)Its peak output current (repetitive) would be 3A. (4)Its junction temperature would be from -40°C to 150°C. (5)Its storage temperature range would be from -40°C to 150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
