The TCA830 is designed as one kind of monolithic integrated circuits. Typical applications is audio power amplifier.

TCA830 has three features. (1)High output current up to 1.5A. (2)High output power. (3)Low harmonic distortion. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of TCA830 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be 20V. (2)Its surge output current would be 2A. (3)Its peak output current (repetitive) would be 1.5A. (4)Its power dissipation would be 1W at Tamb=55°C and would be 5W at Tcase=90°C. (5)Its junction temperature would be 150°C. (6)Its storage temperature range would be from -40°C to 150°C. (7)Its thermal resistance junction ambient would be max 95K/W. (8)Its thermal resistance junction case would be max 12K/W. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics of TCA830 are concluded as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be min 3.5V and max 20V. (2)Its quiescent output voltage would be min 5V and typ 6V and max 7V. (3)Its quiescent drain current would be typ 7mA and max 20mA. (4)Its input current would be typ 0.5uA. (5)Its output power would be typ 3.2W at Us=12V and would be typ 2W at Us=9V. (6)Its input voltage would be max 220mV. (7)Its input resistance would be typ 5Mohms. (8)Its distortion would be typ 0.5% at RL=4ohms and f=1KHz and Pq=50mW. (9)Its voltage amplifications would be typ 75dB for open loop and would be min 34dB and typ 37dB and max 40dB for closed loop with test conditions of RL=4ohms, f=1KHz and Rf=0. (10)Its output noise voltage would be max 500uV with test conditions of B=30 to 15000Hz, RG=10kohms and input voltage 0V. And so on.
