The TCA730A is designed as a monolithic integrated circuit for controlling volume and balance in stereo amplifiers by means of a d.c. voltage.
TCA730A has six features. (1)Physiological volume control. (2)Balance control. (3)Internal amplifier. (4)High ohmic signal inputs. (5)Internal supply voltage stabilization. (6)Converter for the control voltage. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of TCA730A have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage (pin 8) would be max 18V. (2)Its input voltage would be min 0V and max Vp. (3)Its control voltage would be min -5V and max 12V. (4)Its total power dissipation would be max 900mW. (5)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 150°C.
