TCA280B

The TCA280B is designed as bipolar integrated circuit delivering positive pulses for triggering a triac or a thyristor. The flexibility of the circuit makes TCA280B suitable for a variety of applications.

TCA280B has seven features. (1)Adjustable proportional range. (2)Adjustable hysteresis. (3)Adjustable firing burst repetition time. (4)Adjustable pulse width. (5)Supplied from the mains. (6)Provides supply for external temperature bridge. (7)Low supply current, low dissipation. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of TCA280B have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage (voltage source) would be max 17V. (2)Its supply current (current source) would be max 17V. (3)Its average would be max 17mA. (4)Its repetitive peak would be max 80mA. (5)Its non-repetitive peak would be max 2A. (6)Its reverse would be max -10uA. (7)Its input voltage all inputs would be max 17V. (8)Its differential input voltage between IC+ and IC- would be max 7V. (9)Its input current all inputs would be max 10mA. (10)Its output current average would be min -30mA and non repetitive peak would be min -600mA. (11)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 125°C. (12)Its operating ambient temperature range would be from -20°C to 80°C. TCA280B should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics of TCA280B are concluded as follow. (1)Its supply voltage external would be min 11V and max 17V. (2)Its supply voltage internally generated would be min 11.0V and typ 14.3V and max 15V. (3)Its supply current, unloaded varation with supply voltage would be min 0.3mA and max 0.75mA. (4)Its input voltage would be max 1.9V at Ipw=100uA and would be min -0.25V at Ipw=-100uA. (5)Its input voltage high would be min 1.2V. (6)Its input voltage low would be max 0V. And so on.
