The T6803 is a single chip PARCOR voice synthesis LSI with a built-in voice data ROM (64K bits) and low-pass filter circuit.As the forced change of a speaking phrase in the direct setting mode is impossible, to make the speaking phrase change, once perform the forced stop and then, start the speaking.

Features of the T6803 are:(1)PARCOR system 10 kHz sampling voice output;(2)built-in 64K bits ROM for voice data;(3)the dedicated ROM can be externally connected(Max. 2M bits);(4)3 steps of speech speed can be changed over;(5)built-in butterworth three stage low-pass filter;(6)5V single power supply;(7)Low current consumption by C-MOS process (2mA when a low-pass filter is used).PARCOR is the voice analysing and synthesizing method depend by Nippon Telegram and Telephone Public Corporation (NTT).Toshiba's voice synthesizing LSI has been developed under the direction of NTT. 

The absolute maximum ratings of the T6803 can be summarized as:(1)operating temperature:-10 to +55°C;(2)storage temperature range: -55 to 125°C;(3)supply voltage:Vss-0.3 to Vss+6.0V;(4)input voltage:Vss-0.3 to Vdd +0.3V;(5)output voltage:Vss-0.3 to Vdd +0.3V.Since the power supply (VSS2) for the low-pass filters built-in the T6803 separated from the power supply (VSS1) for the digital synthesizer,when a filter circuit is connected extermely as illustrated below,it becomes possible to save power of the built-in low-pass filters.The T6803 has built-in butterzaorth three stage low- pass filters used by the latest switched capacitor technology and it is possible to output synthesized sound by connecting a speaker amplifier circuit externally.The products described in this document are designed, developed and manufactured as contemplated for general use, including without limitation, ordinary industrial use, general office use, personal use, and household use, but are not designed, developed and manufactured as contemplated (1) for any use that includes fatal risks or dangers that, unless extremely high safety is secured, could have a serious effect to the public, and could lead directly to death, personal injury, severe physical damage or other loss (i.e., nuclear reaction control in nuclear facility, aircraft flight control, air traffic control, mass transport control, medical life support system, missile launch control in weapon system), or (2) for any use where chance of failure is intolerable (i.e., submersible repeater and artificial satellite).
