STR9005

STR9005 is designed as low dropout voltage type. Its typical applications include operated VTR cameras, 8mm cameras and automative appliances and for various types of electronic equipment including mocro computers, personal computers, floppy disk drives, CATV sets, VTRs, video disks, and printers and for stabilization of secondary side of multi-output switching regulators.

STR9005 has many features. The first one is input/output voltage difference of less than 1V during operation. The second one is reduces power loss for electronic equipment. The third one is small size with 4A output. The fourth one is an easy-to-use 5-pin plastic-mold regulator. The fifth one is capable of remote ON/OFF. The sixth one is capable of fine adjustment of output voltage. The seventh one is built-in foldback current protection circuit. The eighth one is high reliability due to use of SANKEN's semiconductor elements. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of STR9005 have been concluded into several points as follow. The first one is about its DC input voltage which would be 25V. The second one is about its DC output current which would be 4.0A. The third one is about its power dissipation which would be 75W at Tc=25°C. The fourth one is about its junction temperature which would be from -30°C to +125°C. The fifth one is about its operating case temperature which would be from -20°C to +100°C. The sixth one is about its storage temperature which would be from -30°C to +125°C. The seventh one is about its thermal resistance which would be 1.25°C/W max.

And some electrical characteristics about STR9005. The first one is about its DC input voltage which would be min 6V and max 15V. The second one is about its output voltage which would be min 4.9V and typ 5.0V and max 5.1V. The third one is about its line regulation which would be typ 10mV and max 30mV.
