Description

The SS24 is designed as one kind of schottky rectifiers.

SS24 has three features. (1) Glass passivated junctions. (2) High current capability, low VF. (3) For use in low voltage, high frequency inverters free wheeling, and polarity protection applications. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of SS24 (Ta=25°C unless otherwise noted) have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its maximum repetitive reverse voltage would be 40V. (2) Its average rectified forward current .375" lead length @ Ta=75°C would be 2.0A. (3) Its non-repetitive peak forward surge current 8.3ms single half-sine-wave would be 50A. (4) Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to +150°C. (5) Its operating junction temperature range would be from -65°C to +125°C. It should be noted that these ratings are limiting values above which the serviceability of any semiconductor device may be impaired. That are all the main ratings.

Also some thermal characteristics and electrical characteristics about SS24. (1) Its power dissipation would be 1.3W. (2) Its thermal resistance, junction to ambient would be 75°C/W. Device mounted on FR-4 PCB 0.013mm. (3) Its forward voltage at 2.0A would be 500mV. (4) Its reverse current at rated Vr would be 0.4mA at 25°C and would be 10mA at 100°C. (5) Its average rectified forward current would be 2.0A before 105°C and then would be 0A at 125°C. And so on.
