The SN74LS47N is designed as low power schottky BCD to 7 segment decoder/ drivers consisting of NAND gates, input buffers and seven and-or-invert gates. It offers active low, high sink current outputs for driving indicators directly.
SN74LS47N has five features. (1)Lamp intensity modulation capability (BI/RBO). (2)Open collector outputs. (3)Lamp test provision. (4)Leading/ trailing zero suppression. (5)Input clamp diodes limit high-speed termination effects. Those are all the main features.
Some guaranteed operating ranges of SN74LS47N have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage range would be min 4.75V and typ 5.0V and max 5.25V. (2)Its operating ambient temperature range would be min 0°C and typ 25°C and max 70°C. (3)Its output current high level would be max -50uA. (4)Its output current low level would be max 3.2mA. (5)Its off state output voltage would be max 15V. (6)Its on state output current would be max 24mA.
