Spur-Free, 2.1 GHz Dual Fractional-N Frequency Synthesizer

The SKY72300-21 provides RF/main and IF/auxiliary synthesizers that operate at up to 2.1 GHz and 500 MHz, respectively. The SKY72300-21 is ideal for applications that need low power, low phase noise, fine step sizes, and fast switching speeds. Satellite receivers are an ideal application for the SKY72300-21. Some of these applications require frequency resolution less than 5 kHz while maintaining low phase noise. Doppler shifts are inherent in satellite-based products since the satellite and/or the user are mobile. The SKY72300-21 is targeted at these systems and satellite/PCS dual-mode handsets with their fine frequency control and low phase noise performance.
