The SGL-0163 is designed as a high performance cascadeable 50ohms low noise amplifier designed for operation at voltages as low as 2.5V. It can be operated at 3V for low power or 4V for medium power applications. This SGL-0163 RFIC uses the latest silicon germanium heterostructure bipolar transistor (SiGe HBT) process featuring 1 micron emitters with Ft up to 50GHz.
SGL-0163 has eight features. (1)Low noise figure. (2)High input intercept. (3)Internal temperature compensation circuit. (4)Internally matched to 50ohms. (5)Unconditionally stable. (6)Low power consumption. (7)Single voltage supply. (8)Small package SOT-363. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of SGL-0163 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply current would be 45mA. (2)Its operating temperature range would be from -40°C to 85°C. (3)Its maximum input power would be 10dBm. (4)Its storage temperature range would be from -40°C to 150°C. (5)Its operating junction temperature would be 150°C. (6)Its ESD voltage (human body model) would be 400V. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of SGL-0163at Vcc=3V are concluded as follow. (1)Its output power at 1dB compression would be typ 5.0dBm. (2)Its input third order intercept point with tone spacing 1MHz would be typ 6.4dBm. (3)Its small signal gain would be min 13.5dB and typ 15dB and max 16.5dB. (4)Its input VSWR would be typ 1.8:1. (5)Its output VSWR would be max 1.7:1. (6)Its reverse isolation would be typ 20.6dB. (7)Its device current would be min 8.0mA and typ 11mA and max 14mA.
