The SBM340-13 is designed as one kind of 3A surface mount schottky barrier rectifiers.
SBM340-13 has five features. (1)Guard ring die construction for transient protection. (2)Low power loss and high efficiency. (3)Low forward voltage drop. (4)For use in low voltage, high frequency inverters, free wheeling and polarity protection applications. (5)Plastic material: UL flammability classification rating 94V-0. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of SBM340-13 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its peak repetitive reverse voltage would be 40V. (2)Its working peak reverse voltage would e 40V. (3)Its DC blocking voltage would be 40V. (4)Its RMS reverse voltage would be 28V. (5)Its average rectified output current would be 3A. (6)Its non-repetitive peak forward surge current 8.3ms single half sine-wave superimposed on rated load (JEDEC method) would be 50A. (7)Its typical thermal resistance junction to soldering point would be 3.4°C/W. (8)Its operating temperature range would be from -55°C to 125°C. (9)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 125°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
