The SB380 is designed as medium current schottky barrier rectifier with forward current is 3.0A.
SB380 has nine features. (1) Plastic package has underwriters laboratory flammability classification 94V-0. (2) Metal silicon rectifier, majority carrier conduction. (3) Low power loss, high efficiency. (4) High current capability, low VF. (5) High surge capacity. (6) Epitaxial construction. (7) Guardring for transient protection. (8) For use in low voltage, high frequency inverters, free wheeling, and polarity protection applications. (9) High temperature soldering guaranteed: 250 /10 seconds, 0.375'' (9.5mm) lead length, 5 lbs. (2.3Kg) tension. That are all the main features.
Some SB380 absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage would be 80V. (2) Its maximum RMS voltage would be 56V. (3) Its maximum DC blocking voltage would be 80V. (4) Its maximum average forward recitified current at 0.375'' (9.5) lead length would be 3.0A.
