The SB260 is designed as schottky barrier rectifier with forward current of 2.0 amperes.
SB260 has three features. (1) Plastic package has underwriters laboratory, fammability Classification 94V-0 utilizing, flame retardant epoxy molding compound. (2) 2.0 ampere operation at TL=75°C with no thermal runaway. (3) For use in low voltage, high frequency inverters free wheeling, and polarity protection applications. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of SB260 (ratings at 25°C ambient temperature unless otherwise specified. Single phase, half wave, 60Hz, resistive or inductive load) have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage would be 60V. (2) Its maximum RMS voltage would be 42V. (3) Its maximum DC blocking voltage would be 60V. (4) Its maximum average forward rectified current 0.375'' (9.5mm) lead length at TL=75°C would be 2.0A. (5) Its Peak forward surge current, IFM (surge) 8.3mS single half sine-wave superimposed on rated load (MIL-STD-750D 4066 method) would be 50A. (6) Its maximum forward voltage at 2.0A would be 0.70A. (7) Its maximum full load reverse current, full cycle average at Ta=75°C would be 30mA. (8) Its maximum DC reverse current at rated DC blocking voltage at Ta=25°C would be 2.0mA and at 100°C would be 20.0mA. (9) Its typical junction capacitance would be 170.0pF. (10) Its typical thermal resistance would be 35°C/W. (11) Its opreating and storage temperature range would be from -50°C to +125°C.
Also some mechanical data about SB260. (1) Its case would be molded plastic, DO-15. (2) Its terminals would be axial leads, solderable per MIL-STD-202, method 208. (3) Its polarity would be color band denotes cathode. (4) Its mounting position would be any. (5) Its weight would be 0.014 ounce, 0.39 gram. And so on.
