The S3L60 is designed as one kind of super fast recovery rectifiers with voltage of 600V and current of 2.2A. Its typical applications include PFC, switching power supply, free wheel and home applicationces, office equipment.
S3L60 has four features. (1)It has high voltage super FRD. (2)It has low noise. (3)Its trr is 50ns. (4)Applicable to automatic insertion. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of S3L60 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 150°C. (2)Its operating junction temperature would be 150°C. (3)Its maximum reverse voltage would be 600V. (4)Its average rectified forward current would be 1.8A with conditions of 50Hz sine wave and R-load and Ta=25°C and it would be 2.2A with conditions of 50Hz sine wave abd R-load and Tl=132°C. (5)Its peak surge forward current would be 60A with conditions of 50Hz sine wave and non-repetitive 1 cycle peak value and Tj=25°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to S3L60.
Also some electrical characteristics of S3L60 are concluded as follow. (1)Its forward voltage with symbol of Vf would be max 1.5V with conditions of If=2.2A and pulse measurement. (2)Its reverse current with symbol of Ir would be max 10uA with conditions of Vr=Vrm and pulse measurement. (3)Its reverse recovery time would be max 50ns with conditions of If=0.5A and Ir=1A. (4)Its thermal resistance would be max 6.5°C/W with conditions of junction to lead and it would be max 60°C/W with conditions of junction to ambient. And so on.
