The S-3510 is designed as a series of CMOS real-time clock ICs that inputs/outpus serial clock or calendar data into/from the CPU. Its typical applications include video cameras, FAXes, cellular phones and printers.
S-3510 has nine features. (1)Its operating power supply voltage would be from 1.7V to 5.5V. (2)Low current consumption. (3)BCD output of second, minute, hour, day, data, month and year. (4)Easy serial interface to CPU with 3 lines (SIO, SCK and CS). (5)Its built-in automatic calendar. (6)Built-in voltage detector. (7)Built-in constant voltage circuit. (8)Built-in oscillation circuit (Cg and Cd are built in). (9)8-pin SOP. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of S-3510 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its power supply voltage would be from -0.3V to 7.0V. (2)Its input voltage would be -0.3V to 7.0V for /SCK, CS, SIO and would be from -0.3V to Vdd+0.3V to SIO (CMOS output). (3)Its output voltage would be from -0.3V to 7.0V. (4)Its operating temperature range would be from -30°C to 80°C. (5)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 125°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to S-3510.
