The RGBDAC3408 is a kind of hybrid digital-to-analog converter. It provides 3 channels of video output for RGB-type video displays with picture elements (pixel) rates to 40 MHz. The RGB DAC contains 3 video DACs and 3 RAM arrays (256*4). The RGBDAC3048 provides 4 bits of resolution or 16 levels of "gray space" per channel which gives the user a 212 or 4096 color palette.
