The RC6100 contains a phase-locked loop (PLL) in a frequency multiplier configuration to generate a high-frequency clock as required for video A/D converter and digital video signal processing. The device accepts composite video, composite sync or component sync signals as input. The output signals generated are: clamp gate, composite sync, horizontal sync, vertical sync, field JD, lock detector output, oscillator output (Clock), and Clock/2. The NTSC output frequency choices are: 27.0, 25.175, 14.318, 13.5, 12.588, 12.273, 7.159, and 6.137 MI-Iz. The PAL frequencies generated are: 27.0, 17.734, 15.0, 14.75, 13.5, 8.867, 7.5, and 7.375 MHZ.
The features of RC6100 can be summarized as (1)high speed tracking sync separator easily follows hum average picture level(APL) fluctuations; (2)glitch remover for operation in high impulse noise environment; (3)on chip phase-locked loop; (4)locks and follows VCR sync; (5)compatible with NTSC and PAL systems; (6)choice of eight output frequencies; (7)field ID output; (8)internal VCO.
The absolute maximum ratings of RC6100 are (1)power supply voltage (Vcc): 7V(max); (2)input voltage: Vcc + 03V VIN GND - 03V; (3)operating temperature: 70°C; (4)storage temperature: -40 to - 125°C; (5)junction temperature: 150 °C; (6)lead soldering temperature (10 sec):300 °C (Note: 1. Functional operation under any of these conditions is NOT implied. Performance and reliability are guaranteed only if Operating Conditions are not exceeded. )
