The QXpander™ QX2014 is a bipolar analog stereo enhancement processor. This device is part of the QX chip family offered by QSound Labs, and uses the patented QXpander technique to produce a spatial or widened stereo image from ordinary left and right channel inputs.
This audio enhancement of QX2014 is achieved using normal stereo signals and standard audio playback equipment including two ordinary speakers.
The QX2014 has a TTL-compatible QEN/BYP control to select between QXpander enhancement and normal stereo audio. In addition, an analog "spread" control pin provides for continuous adjustment of the degree of expansion. User adjustment may be implemented using a simple single-gang potentiometer.
