The QT9701B2 is designed as charge-transfer capacitance sensor IC which typical applications include fluid level sensing, security sensing, moisture detection, switch replacement, distance gauging, material properties analysis, human presence detection, collision avoidance and transducer drivers.
QT9701B2 has many features. The first one is auto calibration on demand. The second one is multistage internal digital filtering including median filter. The third one is 200us minimum response time. The fourth one is 200ns to 1.4us selectable drive pulse width. The fifth one is 4-stage charge cancellation for large load capacity. The sixth one is psuedorandom burst modes. The seventh one is programmable sensitivity, hysteresis, response time, digital filtering, detection mode, drift compensation. The eighth one is extensive post-detection processing. The ninth one is analog sample gate control line. The tenth one is LED status indication. The eleventh one is shorted electrode detection. The twelfth one is uses cloned eeprom setups from E2SR board. The thirteenth one is SPI and UART serial interfaces to 5MHz data rate.
