Specifications

Description

The QT60325 digital charge-transfer ("QT") QMatrix™ IC,which projects the keys through almost any dielectric, e.g. glass, plastic, stone, ceramic, and even wood, up to thicknesses of 5 cm or more, is designed to detect human touch on up to 32 keys using a scanned, passive X-Y matrix. It is designed that the touch areas are defined as simple 2-part interdigitated electrodes of conductive material. And also you can almost entirely make the key sizes, shapes and placement, and also mix them within a single panel of keys and can vary by a factor of 20:1 in surface area. You can set the sensitivity of each key individually via simple functions over the SPI port. When each power-up,the key setups need not to be reloaded because they are stored in an onboard to avoid this.So it will save time.
The QT60325 has eight applications. The first one is security keypanels. The second one is appliance controls. The third one is ATM machines. The fourth one is automotive panels. The fifth one is industrial keyboards. The sixth one is outdoor keypads. The seventh one is touch-screens.The last one is machine tools. It also has 14 features. The first one is advanced second generation QMatrix controllers. The second one is up to 32, 48 or 64 touch keys through any dielectric. The third one is panel thicknesses to 5 cm or more. The fourth one is 100% autocal for life - no adjustments required. The fifth one is keys individually adjustable for sensitivity, response time, and many other critical parameters. The sixth one is mix and match key sizes & shapes in one panel. The seventh one is passive matrix - no components at the keys. The eighth one is moisture suppression capable. The ninth one is AKS™ - Adjacent Key Suppression feature. The tenth one is synchronous noise suppression. The eleventh one is sleep mode with wake pin.The twelfth one is SPI Slave or Master/Slave interface to a host controller. The thirteenth one is low overhead communications protocol. The last one is 44-pin TQFP package.
Some absolute maximum specifications of QT60325 have been concluded into several points. The first one is about operating temp which would be as designated by suffix. The second one is about storage temp which should be within -55 to +125°C.The third one is about the VDD which should be within -0.5 to +5.5V.The fourth one is about the max continuous pin current(any control or drive pin) which should be ±10mA.The fifth one is about short circuit duration to ground(any pin) which could be infinite. The sixth one is about short circuit duration to VDD(any pin) which could also be infinite. The seventh one is about voltage forced onto any pin which should be within -0.6V to (Vdd + 0.6) Volts. The eighth one is about frequency of operation which should be 10MHz.The ninth one is about eeprom maximum writes that it would have 100,000 write cycles. The last one is about the flash maximum writes (eeprom backup) which could  have 1,000 write cycles.
