The QSE158 is designed as plastic silicon optologic photosensor and features a Schmitt trigger at output which provides hysteresis for noise immunity and pulse shaping. The basic building block of this IC consists of a photodiode, a linear amplifier, voltage regulator, Schmitt trigger and four output options. The TTL/LSTTL compatible output can drive up to ten TTL loads over supply currents from 4.5 to 16.0 volts. The QSE158 is marked with a color stripe for easy identification.
QSE158 has eight features.The first one is that it would be bipolar silicon IC.The second one is about its package type which would be sidelooker.The third one is that it would have medium wide reception angle which would be 50°.The fourth one is about its package material and color which would be black epoxy.The fifth one is it would have matched emitter of QEE113/QEE123.The sixth one is that it would have daylight filter.The seventh one is that it would have high sensitivity.The last one is that it would have direct TTL/LSTTL interface.

Also some notes about QSE158.Derate power dissipation linearly 2.50 mW/°C above 25°C.And RMA flux is recommended.Methanol or isopropyl alcohols are recommended as cleaning agents.Soldering iron 1/16" (1.6 mm) minimum from housing.And the would be 880 nm (AlGaAs).
