Description

This reference design of PMC-990330 describes a 5G ATM switch using the SPort Card and QSE reference designs. The SPort Card reference design is a 4xOC-3 switch port card using the PM5351 S/UNI-TETRA, PM7324 S/UNI-ATLAS, and PM73487 QRT devices. The QSE reference design PMC-990330 is a 10Gbps switch core building block using two PM73488 QSE devices. These two boards are designed to be housed in a 9U subrack, using a 3U 8-slot Compact PCI backplane for microprocessor access and a 6U custom backplane of PMC-990330 for card interconnect.
