Pericom Semiconductor's PI74ALPTX series of logic circuits are produced in the company's advanced 0.35 micron CMOS technology, achieving industry leading speed.The buffer/driver is designed sepcifically to improve both the performance and density of 3-state memory address drivers , clock drivers, and bus-oriented receivers and transmitters. The PI74ALPTX16244 can be used as four 4-bit buffers, two 8-bit buffers, or one 16-bit buffer. It provides true outputs and symmetrical active-low output-enable inputs.To ensure the high-impedance state during power up or power down, OE should be tied to Vcc through a pullup resistor, the minimum value of the resistor is determined by the current-sinking capability of the dirver. The PI74ALPTX16244 can be used as a translator, allowing it to operate in mixed 3V/5V systems.The PI74ALPTX16244 has "bus hold", which retains the data input's last state whenever the data input goes to high-impedance,preventing"floating"inputs and eliminating the need for pullup/dwom resistors.It has many unique features:The first one is it is designed for low voltage operation. The second one is it supports live insertion. The third one is VDD is 1.8 V to 3.6 V. The forth one is 3.6 V tolerant inputs and outputs. The fifth one is bus hold. The sixth one is high drive(-32 mA to 64 mA).The industrial operation is at -40 to +85, etc.

There are some maximum ratings about PI74ALPTX16244. Supply voltage range(VDD) is -0.5 V to 4.6 V. Input voltage range(V1) is -0.5 V to 4.6 V.Output voltage range(Vo(3-stated)) is -0.5 V to 4.6 V.Output voltage range(Vo(active)) is -0.5 V to VDD + 0.5 V. DC input diode current(IIK, V1 is smaller than 0 V) is -50 mA. DC output source/sink current(IOH/IOL) is -64 mA to 128 mA. Storage temperature range(Tstg) is -65 to 150.Stress greater than those ratings above may cause permanent damage to the device. this is a stress rating only and functional operation of the device at these or any other conidtions above those indicated in the operational sections  is not implied.The followings are the recommended operating conditions about it. Supply voltage is 1.8 V min and 3.6 V max(operating) and is 1.2 V min and 3.6 V max(data retention  only). High-level input voltage(VIH) is 2.0 V min when VDD is 2.7 V to 3.6 V and low-level input voltage(VIL)is 0.8 V max when VDD is 2.7 V to 3.6 V. Output voltage(Vo) is 0 V min and VDD max when it is at the active state or is 0 V min and 3.6 V max when it is at the off state. Input transistion rise or fall rate is 0 ns/V min and 10 ns/V max. Operating free-air temperature is -10 min and 85 max.Also, there are some other characteristics. DC: High level voltage(VIH) is 1.6 V min when VDD is 2.3 V to 2.7 V. Low level input voltage(VIL) is 0.7 V max when VDD is 2.3 V to 2.7 V.High level output voltage(VOH) is VDD-0.2 V min when IOH is -100A and VDD is 2.3 V to 2.7 V.High level output voltage(VOH) is 2.0 V min when IOH is -6 mA and VDD is 2.3 V. High level output voltage(VOH) is 1.8 V min when IOH is -12 mA and VDD is 2.3 V.High level output voltage(VOH) is 1.7 V min when IOH is -16 mA and VDD is 2.3 V.High level output voltage(VOH) is 1.7 V min when IOH is -24 mA and VDD is 2.3 V,etc.
