The PH309 is designed as one kind of plastic molded pin photo diode device that has a wide photo-receiving area and high speed response enabling applications for various remote controlling equipments, and the resin material itself used for the package has filter effect to pass only infrared. Features of this device are:(1)ultra high speed response (tr, tf = 30 ns);(2)coincidence of the wavelength of maximum sensitivity with that of an infrared LED;(3)high sensitivity (32 nA/lx);(4)wide dynamic range.
