PG-201

The PG-201 is a phtotointerrupter consisting of GaAs IRED and photodarlington. The IRED and sensor chips are directly mounted in a miniature plastic housing.PG-201 has five unqiue features: the first one is 0.5mm aperture. The second one is  high output. The third one is it is easy to mount on P.C.B. The forth one is compact. The fifth one is three terminals.Meanwhile,it also has five applications. The first one is tape-end sensors. The second one is timing sensors. The third one is edge sensors. The forth one is switches for key board. The fifth one is micro floppy disk drives.

There are some maximum ratings about PG-201.Input:Power dissipation(P_D) is 75 mW. Reverse voltage(V_R) is 5 V. Forward current(I_F) is 50 mA.Output:Collector power dissipation(Pc) is 100 mW.Collector current(Ic) is 50 mA.C-E voltage(V_CEO) is 20 V. E-C voltage(V_ECO) is 3 V.Operating temp.(T_opr) is -10 to +70.Storage temp.(T_stg) is -20 to +80. Soldering temp.(T_sol) is 240.At last, there are still some electro-optical charactersitics about it.Input:Forward voltage(V_F) is 1.5 V max when I_F is 30 mA. Reverse current(I_R) is 10 A max when V_R is 5 V. Capacitance(Ct) is 25 pF typ when V is 0 V and f is 1 kHz. Peak wavelength is 940 nm typ.Output:Collector dark current(I_CEO) is 3A max when V_CE is 10 V. Light current(I_L) is 1 mA min when V_CE is 5 V and IF is 4 mA.Switching speeds: Rise time(tr) is 65sec typ when Vcc is 10 V,Ic is 5 mA and R_L is 100 ohms. Fall time(tf) is 75sec typ when Vcc is 10 V,Ic is 5 mA and R_L is 100 ohms.
