The PEG-3E series of electronically controlled phase shifters uses a lumped element design for high performance in a space saving surface mount package. Phase control is achieved by the applications of a 0to 15 V volt control signal , PEG-3E series can be modulated at rates up to 1% of the RF center frequency. This signal varies the capacitance of two varator diodes,which form part of a turned LC circuit, connected across the output ports of a 90°quadrature hybird. The change in the reactance causes a shift in the phase of an RF signal passed through the hybird. These phase shifters are designed for high reliability , and can be supplied screened to meet military and space applications.PEG-3E series has three unique features: The first one is catalog and custom to 500 MHz. The second one is low insertion loss. The third one is low profile, Hi-Rel, Hermetic package.
