The ADSL-L Line Driver Chip is part of the Siemens POTSWIRETM ADSL chipset. It consists of the digital data pump PEB 22712, optimized analog front ends for the remote transmission unit (PEB 22713), the central office unit (PEB 22711) and the line driver (PEB 22709 and PEB 22710).
The line driver PEB 22712 consists of two wideband current-feedback amplifiers, a topology which supports the high slew rates and low total harmonic distortion required in DMT ADSL applications.
PEB 22712 is designed for low power dissipation, the line driver consumesonly 1.4 W in the central office application.
In the remote application the power dissipation of PEB 22712 is reduced to 800 mW.In addition, a power down mode for periods with no data transmission is supported.
Two package versions of PEB 22712 are available:PEB 22709 with the heat slug down and PEB 22710 with the heat slug up.
