The PCM1792 is a monolithic CMOS integrated circuit thatincludes stereo digital-to-analog converters and supportcircuitry in a small 28-lead SSOP package.
The dataconverters use TI's advanced segment DAC architectureto achieve excellent dynamic performance and improvedtolerance to clock jitter. The PCM1792 provides balancedcurrent outputs, allowing the user to optimize analogperformance externally. The PCM1792 accepts PCM andDSD audio data formats, providing easy interfacing toaudio DSP and decoder chips. The PCM1792 alsoaccepts to interface external digital filter devices (DF1704,DF1706, PMD200). Sampling rates up to 200 kHz aresupported. A full set of user-programmable functions isaccessible through an SPI or I2C serial control port, whichsupports register write and readback functions. ThePCM1792 also supports the time division multiplexedcommand and audio (TDMCA) data format.
