The data converters PCM1737 utilize Burr-Brown'senhanced multi-level delta-sigma architecture, whichemploys 4th-order noise shaping and 8-level ampli-tude quantization to achieve excellent dynamic per-formance and improved tolerance to clock jitter.
The PCM1737 accepts industry standard audio dataformats with 16- to 24-bit data, providing easyinterfacing to audio DSP and decoder chips. Sam-pling rates up to 192kHz are supported. A full setof user-programmable functions are accessible througha 4-wire serial control port which supports registerwrite and read back functions.
