Description

PC812 is a type of high noise resistance photocoupler which has four unique features: the first one is high noise reduction. The second one is high current transfer ratio. The third one is high isolation voltage between input and output. The last one is compact dual-in-line package.Besides, PC812 also has four applications: the first one is motor-control circuits. The second one is computer terminals. The third one is system applicances,measuring instruments. The forth one is signal transmission between circuits of different potentials and impedances.

There are someabsolute maximum ratings about PC812. Input: forwad current(IF) is 50 mA. Peak forward current(IFM) is 1 A. Reverse voltage (VR) is 6 V. Power dissipation(P) is 70 mW. Output: Collector-emitter voltage(VCEO) is 35 V. Emitter-collector voltage(VECO) is 6 V. Collector current(Ic) is 50 mA. Collector power dissipation(Pc) is 150 mW. Total power dissipation(Ptot) is 200 MW. Isolation voltage(Viso) is 5000 Vrms. Operating temperature(Topr) is -30 to +100. Storage temperature(Tstg) is -55 to +125. Soldering temperature(Tsol) is 260.Electro-optical characteristics: Input: Forward votlage(VF) is 1.2 V typ and 1.4 V max when IF is 20 mA. Peak forward voltage(VFM) is 3.0 V max when IFM is 0.5 A. Reverse current(IR) is 10 uA max when VR is 4 V. Terminal capcitance(CL) is 30 pF typ and 200 PF max when V is 0 and f is 1 kHz. Transfer charactersitics:Current transfer ratio(CTR) is 90% min and 480% max when IF is 5 mA and VCE is 5 V.Collector-emitter saturation voltage(VCE(sat)) is 0.1 V typ and 0.2 V max when IF is 20 mA and Ic is 1 mA. Floating capacitance is 0.6 pFtyp and 1.0 pF max when V is 0 and f si 1 kHz.Cut-off frequency (fc) is 15 KHz min and 80 KHz typ when Vce is 5 V , Ic is 2 mA, RL is 100 ohm,-3dB.
