PACKBM

The PACKBM is designed as a keyboard or mouse port interface. The signal from the keyboard/mouse controller contain high frequency EMI signals that must be reduced before the connector. Likewise, the signals from the keyboard/mouse controller must be protected from any possible external charges such as static electricity. PACKBM provides filtering and pull-up termination of the keyboard and mouse signals as well as ESD protection.

PACKBM has two features. (1)Integrated network contains complete filter, solution and ESD protection diodes. (2)Typical applications is EMI/RFI filter and ESD protection for keyboard and mouse ports. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of PACKBM have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (2)Its ambient operating temperature range would be from -40°C to 85°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics of PACKBM are concluded as follow. (1)Its resistance (10% tolerance) would be min 4.23kohms and typ 4.7kohms and max 5.17kohms. (2)Its capacitance 20% tolerance would be min 376pF and typ 470pF and max 564pF. (3)Its ESD protection would be min +/-4kV for peak discharge voltage at any I/O, human body model per MIL-STD-883D, method 3015 and would be min +/-8kV for in-system protection, HBM and would be min +/-4kV for in-system protection, IEC 1000-4-2, level 2. (4)Its clamping voltage during ESD discharge per MIL-STD-883D, method 3015 would be typ 30V for +8kV discharge and would be typ -30V for -8kV discharge. And so on.
