The PA83A is designed as a high voltage operational amplifier for output voltage swing up to +/-145V with a dual supply or 290V with a single supply. Its input stage is protected against transient and steady state overvoltages up to and including the supply rails. High accuracy is achieved with a cascode input circuit configuration.
PA83A has three four features. (1)Low bias current, low noise: FET input. (2)Fully protected input: up to +/-150V. (3)Wide supply range which would be from +/-15V to +/-150V. (4)Typical applications include high voltage instrumentation, electrostatic transducers & deflection, programmable power supplies up to 290V and analog simulators. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points of PA83A as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be 300V. (2)Its output current within SOA would be internally limited. (3)Its power dissipation would be 17.5W. (4)Its input voltage differential would be +/-300V. (5)Its input voltage common mode would be +/-300V. (6)Its temperature pin solder 10s max would be 300°C. (7)Its temperature junction would be 175°C. (8)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (9)Its operaing case temperature range would be from -55v to 125°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
