The PA50 is a MOSFET power operational amplifier that extends the performance limits of power amplifiers in slew rate and power bandwidth, while maintaining high current and power dissipation ratings.
Boost voltage inputs allow the small signal portion of the amplifier to operate at a higher voltage than the high current output stage. The amplifier is then biased to achieve close linear swings to the supply rails at high currents for extra efficient operation.
The PA50A is the A grade version.
Applications:
The PA50 is designed as a MOSFET power operational amplifier that extends the performance limits of power amplifiers in slew rate and power bandwidth, while maintaining high current and power dissipation ratings. Typical applications is SEMI-conductor testing.
PA50 has four features. (1)High internal dissipation 400W. (2)High current 40A continuous, 100A peak. (3)High slew rate 50V/us. (4)Optional boost voltage inputs. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points of PA50 as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be 100V. (2)Its boost voltage would be 130V. (3)Its output current within SOA would be 100A. (4)Its power dissipation internal would be 400W. (5)Its input voltage differential would be +/-20V. (6)Its input voltage common mode would be +/-Vb. (7)Its temperature pin solder 10s would be 300°C. (8)Its temperature junction would be 150°C. (9)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (10)Its operating temperature range case would be from -55°C to 125°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of PA50 are concluded as follow. (1)Its offset voltage vs temperature would be typ 20uV/V and max 50uV/V. (2)Its offset voltage vs supply would be typ 10uV/V and max 30uV/V. (3)Its bias current initial would be typ 10pA and max 50pA. (4)Its bias current vs supply would be typ 0.01pA/V. (5)Its offset current initial would be typ 10pA and max 50pA. (6)Its input capacitance would be typ 13pF. (7)Its common mode rejection DC would be min 90dB and typ 100dB. (8)Its input noise would be typ 10uVrms. (9)Its open loop at 15Hz would be min 94dB and typ 102dB. And so on.
