The P3357 is designed as one kind of low distortion line matching transformers which is intended for V.90 and V.92 (56kbps) modems and other high-speed applications where ultra-low distortion at moderate power levels and very low voiceband frequencies is required at a competitive price. P3357 is a vacuum encapsulated version of P3356 with the benefits of greater mechanical robustness and breakdown strength. The part is completely lead-free, compliant with RoHS directive 2002/95/EC, and suitable for lead-free and conventional processing.
P3357 has twelve features. (1)Low distortion. (2)Lead-free (Pb-free). (3)RoHS compliant. (4)12.6mm (0.5") seated height. (5)Industry standard pinout. (6)IEC 60950 and UL 60950 certified. (7)UL recognized component. (8)Extended frequency response. (9)Flat TX and RX responses. (10)Simple matching. (11)Low insertion loss. (12)Vacuum encapsulated. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of P3357 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its short term isolation voltage 1s would be 4.6kVrms and 6.5kVdc. (2)Its DC current would be 100uA. (3)Its storage temperature range would be from -40°C to +85°C. (4)Its lead temperature 10 seconds would be 260°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of P3357 are concluded as follow. (1)Its insertion loss would be typ 1.5dB. (2)Its frequency response would be typ 10Hz at LF -3dB cutoff and would be typ 55kHz at HF -3dB cutoff. (3)Its return loss would be min 16dB at 200Hz to 4kHz. (4)Its voltage isolation would be min 2.12kVrms and min 3.0kV. (5)Its third harmonic distortion would be typ -70dBm at 150Hz -3dBm in line and would be typ -89dBm at 200Hz -10dBm in line. And so on.
