The P3127 is designed as a high impedance transformer for applications where high performance and safety isolation to the most exacting international standards are required in a compact case size. In conjunction with external protection (e.g. fuses, zener diodes, etc.) the device is compliant with EN 50020 for peak rated voltage <=375V. P3127 has a turns ratio of 1.732:1 giving an
impedance transformation of 3:1. P3127 is designed for "listening" applications when placed across a line, presenting a very high impedance to minimize circuit loading. Signal performance is equivalent to ETAL P1487.
P3127 has four features. (1)14.6mm seated height. (2)Vacuum encapsulated. (3)Compliant with EN 50020 and EN 60950. (4)Typical applications include potentially explosive atmospheres, telecommunications, pick-off applications, telemetry and instrumentation. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of P3127 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its short term isolation voltage 15s would be 4.6kVrms, 6.5kVdc. (2)Its DC current would be 100uA. (3)Its storage temperature range would be from -40°C to 125°C. (4)Its lead temperature 10 seconds would be 260°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of P3127 are concluded as follow. (1)Its voltage isolation would be min 3.88kVrms and min 5.5kV. (2)Its balance would be min 50dB. (3)Its input impedance would be min 20ohms. (3)Its functional operating temperature range would be from -10°C to 70°C. (4)Its humidity would be max max 95%RH.
