Description

      The OVSTRGBLC6 is a full-color chip LED with multiple viewing angles and the ability to produce all colors of the visible spectrum, plus white. The small package and high-light output, makes it ideal for miniature applications.
      Here are some features of the OVSTRGBLC6. The first one is, red/green/blue/white in single surface mount package. The second one is, 8 mm tape on 7" reel compatible with automatic placement equipment. The third one is, each chip individually addressable to provide color on demand. And the last one is, ESD protected [± 1 kV, 1 time (200 pF 0 W)].
      As a Full-Color Top-View Chip LED, the OVSTRGBLC6 has quite many applications. Such as automotive (backlighting in dashboard and switches), telecommunications (indicator and backlighting in telephone and fax), flat backlight (LCDs, membrane switches and symbols) and personal/portable appliances (mobile phones, pagers, audio/video players and GPS) and so on.
      The OVSTRGBLC6 has some important parameters, whose symbol and absolute maximum ratings are as follows: five group of parameters has three values,they are Power Dissipation (1 chip on) PD , red 68mW,  green 98mW, blue 98mW; DC Forward Current ( 1 chip on)IF,  red 25mA, green 25mA, blue 25mA;  Power Dissipation (2 or 3 chips on)PD, red 22mW , green 33mW , blue 33 mW ; DC Forward Current (2 or 3 chips on)IF, red 10mA, green 10mA, blue 10mA; Pulsed Forward Current IFP , red 100mA, green 100mA, blue 100mA. In addition to the above figures, the OVSTRGBLC6 also has other parameters. For some examples, the DC Forward Current Reduction, when 1 chip on, the value is -0.425mA / °C, and when 2 or 3 chips on, the value is -0.1mA / °C. The Operating Temperature TOPR  is between -30 and +80 °C, and the Storage Temperature TSTG  is between -40 and +100 °C.
