OPI3009

The OPI3009 consists of a gallium arsenide or gallium aluminum arsenide infrared emitting diode and a monolithic integrated circuit containing a photo-diode end a bidirectional switch, mounted in a standard plastic six pin duel-in-line package. This series s intended to interface electronic controls with power triaa to central resistive end inductive loads as in motors, solenoids, and appliances.

Features of the OPI3009 are:(1)for 120 VAC operation; (2)2500 VDC minimum electrical isolation; (3)low LED trigger current to latch output; (4)UL recagnaed Hle No. E53730.In cases where extremely high reliability is required (such as use in nuclear power control,aerospace and aviation, traffic equipment,medical equipment, and safety equipment), safety should be ensured by using semiconductor devices that feature assured safety or by means of users' fail-safe precautions or other arrangement.

The absolute maximum ratings of the OPI3009 can be summarized as:(1)off-state terminal voltage:260 V;(2)storage temperature range:-40 to 150;(3)lead soldering temperature:260;(4)operating temperature:-40 to 85;(5)power dissipation:350mW;(6)on-state RMS current:100mA;(7)peak non-repectitive surge current:1.2A.The products described in this document are designed, developed and manufactured as contemplated for general use, including without limitation, ordinary industrial use, general office use, personal use, and household use, but are not designed, developed and manufactured as contemplated (1) for any use that includes fatal risks or dangers that, unless extremely high safety is secured, could have a serious effect to the public, and could lead directly to death, personal injury, severe physical damage or other loss (i.e., nuclear reaction control in nuclear facility, aircraft flight control, air traffic control, mass transport control, medical life support system, missile launch control in weapon system), or (2) for any use where chance of failure is intolerable (i.e., submersible repeater and artificial satellite).
