DescriptionThe NCP1207ADR2G is one member of the NCP1207 family which combines a true current mode modulator and a demagnetization detector to ensure full borderline/critical conduction mode in any load/line conditions and minimum drain voltage switching (quasi-resonant operation). It can be used in (1)AC/DC adapters for notebooks, etc.; (2)offline battery chargers; (3)consumer electronics (DVD players, set-top boxes, TVs, etc.); (4)auxiliary power supplies (USB, appliances, TVs, etc.).
Features of the NCP1207ADR2G are:(1)free-running borderline/critical mode quasi-resonant operation; (2)current-mode with adjustable skip-cycle capability; (3)no auxiliary winding VCC operation; (4)auto-recovery overcurrent protection; (5)latching overvoltage protection; (6)external latch triggering, e.g. Via overtemperature signal; (7)500 mA peak current source/sink capability; (8)undervoltage lockout for VCC below 10 V; (9)internal 1.0 ms soft-start; (10)internal 8.0s minimum TOFF; (11)adjustable skip level; (12)internal temperature shutdown; (13)direct optocoupler connection; (14)SPICE models available for transient analysis; (15)Pb-free package is available.
