Description

The MPC18730EP is designed as power management IC (PMIC) which regulates five independent output voltages from either a single cell Li-Ion (2.7V to 4.2V input range) or from a single cell Ni-MH or dry cell (0.9V to 2.2V input range).

MPC18730EP has seven features. (1)Operates from single cell Li-Ion, Ni-MH, or alkaline. (2)2 DC-DC converters. (3)3 low drop regulators. (4)Serial interface sets output voltages. (5)4 wake inputs. (6)Low current standby mode. (7)Pb-free packaging designated by suffix code EP. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of MPC18730EP have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its power supply voltage would be from -0.5V to 5.0V. (2)Its analog signal input would be from -0.5V to VO1+0.5V. (3)Its logic signal input would be from -0.5V to V_STDBY+0.5V for WAKE1 4B and would be from -0.5V to VO1_SENSE+0.5V for CLEAR, SLEEP, EXT_CLOCK, SCKIN, DATA, STRB and would be from -0.5V to VBATT+0.5V for VGATESEL1,2. (4)Its output power current would eb 120mA for VOUT1 power supply circuit and would be 100mA for Vout2 power supply circuit and would be 80mA for SREG1 power supply circuit and would be 100mA for SREG2 power supply circuit and would be 80mA for SREG3 power supply circuit. (5)Its open-drain output apply voltage would be from -0.5V to 3.3V for PGOOD1 and would be from -0.5V to 3.3V for LSWO. (6)Its ESD voltage would be +/-1500V for human body model and would be +/-200V for machine model and would be +/-750V for charge device model.

(1)Its VB power supply voltage would be min 0.9V and typ 1.2V and max 2.2V for power supply voltage 1 and would be min 2.7V and typ 3.5V and max 4.2V for power supply voltage 2.
