The MFRC531 is one member of the highly integrated reader ICs which designed to supports all layers of the ISO14443 including the type A and type B communication scheme. It can be used in (1)public transport terminals; (2)handheld terminals; (3)on board units; (4)contactless pc terminals; (5)metering; (6)contactless public phones. Also this device has two parts: the receiver part and the digital part. The receiver part provides a robust and efficient implemen-tation of a demodulation and the digital part handles the complete ISO14443 framing and error detection (Parity & CRC).
Features of the MFRC531 are:(1)3.3 V or 5V operation for the digital part;(2)bit- and byte-oriented framing;(3)unique serial number;(4)programmable timer;(5)power down mode per software;(6)hard reset with low power function;(7)comfortable 64 byte send and receive FIFObuffer;(8)automatic detection of the used -processor interface type;(9)flexible interrupt handling;(10)SPI compatible interface;(11)crypto1 and secure non-volatile internal key memory;(12)pin-compatible to the MF RC500, MF RC530 and the SL RC400;(13)parallel -processor interface with internal address latch and IRQ line.
