The MC74VHC1GU04 is an advanced high speed CMOSUnbuffered inverter fabricated with silicon gate CMOS technology. IMC74VHC1GU04 achieves high speed operation similar to equivalent Bipolar SchottkyTTL while maintaining CMOS low power dissipation.This device consists of a single unbuffered inverter. In combinationwith others, or inthe MC74VHCU04 Hex Unbuffered Inverter,MC74VHC1GU04 are well suited for use as oscillators, pulse shapers, and inmany other applications requiring a highinput impedance amplifier.For digital applications, theMC74VHC1G04 or the MC74VHC04 arerecommended.

The internal circuit of MC74VHC1GU04 is composed of three stages, including a bufferoutput which provides high noise immunity and stable output.The MC74VHC1GU04 input structure provides protection whenvoltages up to 7V are applied, regardless of the supply voltage. Thisallows the MC74VHC1GU04 to be used to interface 5V circuits to 3Vcircuits.
