The MC68302FC16C is designed as a very large-scale integration (VLSI) device incorporating the main building blocks needed for the design of a wide variety of controllers. MC68302FC16C is especially suitable to applications in the communications industry. The IMP is the first device to offer the benefits of a closely coupled, industry-standard M68000 microprocessor core and a flexible communications architecture.
MC68302FC16C has three features. (1)On-chip HCMOS MC68000/MC68008 core supporting a 16- or 8-bit M68000 family-system. (2)IB including independent direct memory access (IDMA) controller with three handshake signals: DREQ, DACK, and DONE and interrupt controller with two modes of operation and parallel input/output (I/O) ports, some with interrupt capability and on-chip 1152-byte dual-port RAM and so on. (3)CP including: main controller (RISC processor) and three independent full-duplex serial communications controllers (SCCs) and six serial DMA channels for the three SCCs. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points of MC68302FC16C as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be from -0.3V to 7.0V. (2)Its input voltage would be from -0.3V to 7.0V. (3)Its operating temperature range would be from -40°C to 85°C. (4)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of MC68302FC16C are concluded as follow. (1)Its input high voltage except EXTAL would be min 2.0V and max Vdd.
