The MC68320 paralle interface/timer(PI/T) provides versatile double-buffered paralle interfaces and a system-oriented timer for MC68000 systems.The parallel interfaces of MC68230 operate in unidirectional or bidirectional modes, either 8 or 16 bits wide.In the unidirectional modes, an associated data direction register determines whether each port pin is an inpt or output.In the bidirectional modes, the data direction registers are ignored, and the direction is determined dynamically by the state of four handshake pins.

Features of of the MC68320 EPLDs are:(1)M68000 bus compatible; (2)programmable handshaking options; (3)24-bit programmable timer modes; (4)separate port and timer interrupt service requests; (5)five separate interrupt vectors, four of which may be dedicated to external interrupt service requests; (6)registers are read/write anddirectly addressable; (7)registers are addressed for Move Peripheral(MOVEP) and DMAC compatiblity.

The absolute maximum ratings of the MC68320 EPLDs can be summarized as:(1)supply voltage(Vcc) is -0.3 V to +7.0 V; (2)input voltage(Vin) is -0.3 V to +7.0 V; (3)operating temperature range(Ta) is 0 to 70; (4)storage temperature(Tstg) is -55 to 150; (5): input high voltage(VIH, all inputs) is GND+2.0 V min and VCC max; (6): input low voltage(VIL, all inputs) is GND-0.3 V min and GND+0.8 V max.
