DescriptionThe MC34164P-5G is one member of the MC34164 family which is designed as the micropower undervoltage sensing circuit. Also MC34164P-5G offers the designer an economical solution for low voltage detection with a single external resistor, and can be used in appliance, automotive, consumer, and industrial equipment applications.
Features of the MC34164P-5G are:(1)temperature compensated reference; (2)monitors 3.0 V (MC34164-3) or 5.0 V (MC34164-5) power supplies; (3)precise comparator thresholds guaranteed over temperature; (4)comparator hysteresis prevents erratic reset; (5)reset output capable of sinking in excess of 6.0 mA; (6)internal clamp diode for discharging delay capacitor; (7)guaranteed reset operation with 1.0 V input; (8)extremely low standby current: as low as 9.0 uA; (9)economical TO-226AA, TSOP-5, SOIC-8 and micro8 surface mount packages; (10)NCV prefix for automotive and other applications requiring site and control changes; (11)Pb-free packages are available.
