The MC14572UBCP is designed as hex functional gate which is constructed with MOS Pchannel and Nchannel enhancement mode devices in a single monolithic structure. These complementary MOS logic gates find primary use where low power dissipation and/or high noise immunity is desired. The MC14572UBCP contains four inverters, one NOR gate and one NAND gate.
MC14572UBCP has eight features. (1)Diode protection on all inputs. (2)Single supply operation. (3)Supply voltage range=3.0Vdc to 18Vdc. (4)NOR input pin adjacent to Vss pin to simplify use as an inverter. (5)NAND input pin adjacent to Vdd pin to simplify use as an inverter. (6)NOR output pin adjacent to inverter input pin for OR application. (7)NAND output pin adjacent to inverter input pin for AND application. (8)Capable of driving two low-ower TTL loads or one low-power schottky TTL load over the rated temperature range. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of MC14572UBCP have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its DC supply voltage would be from -0.5V to 18.0V. (2)Its input or output voltage (DC or transient) would be from -0.5V to Vdd+0.5V. (3)Its input or output current (DC or transient) per pin would be +/-10mA. (4)Its power dissipation per package would be 500mW. (5)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (6)Its lead temperature (8-second soldering) would be 260°C.
