The MC14538BCP is designed as a dual, retriggerable, resettable monostable multivibrator. MC14538BCP may be triggered from either edge of an input pulse, and produces an accurate output pulse over a wide range of widths, the duration and accuracy of which are determined by the external timing components, Cx and Rx.
MC14538BCP has nine features. (1)Unlimited rise and fall time allowed on the A trigger input. (2)Pulse width range=10ms to 10s. (3)Latched trigger inputs. (4)Separate latched reset inputs. (5)3.0Vdc to 18Vdc operational limits. (6)Triggerable from positive (A input) or negativegoing edge (Binput). (7)Capable of driving two lowpower TTL loads or one lowpower schottky TTL load over the rated temperature range. (8)Pinforpin compatible with MC14528B and CD4528B (CD4098). (9)Use the MC54/74HC4538A for pulse widths less than 10ms with supplies up to 6V. Those are all the main features.

(4)Its power dissipation per package would be 500mW. (5)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (6)Its lead temperature (8 second soldering) would be 260°C.
