Description

The MC14002B is designed as one member of the B suffix series CMOS gates with dual 4-input NOR gate. The B series logic gates are constructed with P and N channel enhancement mode devices in a single monolithic structure (complementary MOS). Their primary MC14002B use is where low power dissipation and/or high noise immunity is desired.

MC14002B has five features. (1) Supply voltage range would be 3.0 Vdc to 18 Vdc. (2) All outputs buffered. (3) Capable of driving two low power TTL loads or one low power. (4) Schottky TTL load over the rated temperature range. (5) Double diode protection on all inputs except: triple diode protection. (5) Pin for pin replacements for corresponding CD4000 series B suffix devices. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of MC14002B have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its DC supply voltage would be from -0.5V to 18.0V. (2) Its input or output voltage (DC or transient) would be from -0.5V to Vdd+0.5V. (3) Its input or output current (DC or transient), per pin would be +/-10mA. (4) Its power dissipation per package would be 500mW. (5) Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to +150°C. (6) Its lead temperature (8-second soldering) would be 260°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics about MC14002B. (1) At Vdd is 5.0Vdc its output voltage low would be typ 0V and max 0.05Vdc. (2) Its output voltage high would be min 4.95Vdc and typ 5.0Vdc. (3) Its input voltage low would be typ 2.25Vdc and max 1.5Vdc. (4) Its input voltage high would be min 3.5Vdc and typ 2.75Vdc. And so on.
